Cricket Ekhaya-Ekasi is a grassroots cricket development organisation committed to discovering, developing and supporting cricket talent within communities across Zimbabwe. We believe that talent exists in every community, regardless of background or circumstances. Our role is to help create the opportunities, support and development pathways that allow young people to discover their potential and pursue their dreams through cricket. But our work goes beyond the cricket field. Through cricket, we help young people develop discipline, teamwork, leadership, confidence, resilience and other essential life skills that can positively influence their education, personal development and future.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make cricket accessible to young people and communities across Zimbabwe, particularly where opportunities and resources are limited. Through grassroots cricket, quality coaching, player development, community programmes and strategic partnerships, we create pathways for young people to discover their talent, develop their skills and build the confidence, discipline and life skills they need to succeed on and beyond the cricket field.

Our vision is a Zimbabwe where every young person, regardless of where they come from or the resources available to them, has the opportunity to discover their potential through cricket. We envision strong grassroots cricket communities where talent is recognised, young people are empowered, and cricket creates pathways to opportunity, education, personal development and a brighter future.


Why Grassroots Cricket Matters

Great cricketers do not only come from established academies or well-resourced communities. Grassroots cricket creates the opportunity to discover talent where it exists, giving young people access to coaching, equipment, competition and positive role models that may otherwise be out of reach. More importantly, the game teaches lessons that extend beyond the boundary — discipline, teamwork, leadership, resilience, responsibility and confidence. By investing in cricket at community level, we are not simply developing players; we are helping young people develop the skills, belief and opportunities to shape their own futures.
